Pont-Aven in lights is a illuminated path created by the artist and lighting designer Jean-Pol Gloaguen in the heart of the city center of Pont-Aven.
From mid-November to early January, Pont-Aven turns into a work of art: a wonderful artistic variation of the traditional Christmas lights usually seen in Brittany.
From mid-November to early January, Pont-Aven becomes a living painting dazzlingly adorned.
These lighting effects along the river give à magical aspect to the city center of Pont-Aven.

The course starts in front of the Aven’s blockfields, continues along the Xavier Grall Promenade towards the small island of Rosmadec, and on the frontage of the restaurant “Sur Le Pont” a painting from the museum will appear. The street between the rue du port and the Moulin du Grand Poulguin is also illuminated. On the place Julia a picture is projected on the frontage of the museum.
You will see an explosion of colours with surprising reflections on the river Aven. The wash houses are lighted up, the trees are adorned, you can hear musics in their branches, bridges are illuminated and windows are just wonderfully decorated.
Let’s turn Pont-Aven, its river, its bridges, into a living masterpiece.

During the festival a photo contest is organised and open to teenagers and adults. All you have to do is share your pictures on instagram.
