And for hikers, our 38 km of coastal paths will give them a taste of heaven…~

Our sheltered coasts are accessible to everyone willing to experience the most trendy or traditional water sports. Live your dream of navigation onboard an Optimist or a catamaran, follow the wind with your windsurf or your kitesurf, or rent a stand-up paddle or a kayak! You can also rent out a Zodiac or a sailboat with its skipper and navigate to the Glénan islands. Beginner? Not a problem: instructors are there to guide you through the waves! ~
Let’s call at the port of Concarneau! Just jump off your boat to find yourself in the heart of the “Blue City”, with immediate access to its shops, restaurants, cafes, museums… A little further, at the port of Trévignon, your boat will be sheltered close to the lighthouse and sea rescue station, a great starting point for an exploration on foot of the unspoiled coastline. You can also spend the night at the mouth of the Aven river at Port Manec’h and discover its romantic row of wooden bathing cabins, or choose to go up the river to the harbour of Kerdruc where some delicious oyster specialties are just waiting for you! ~
The coastline from Concarneau to Port-Manec’h is a great gathering point for fishermen and sailors. The harbor of Trévignon is a fantastic spot to buy freshly caught fsh directly from the fishing boats… The Fishing Museum in the very heart of the Citadel reveals the secrets of fishery while the Marinarium will make you discover the marine biodiversity.
The ocean is a never-ending experience: in the morning for an invigorating stroll by the sea, in the afernoon for a swim, for building ephemeral castles on the long beaches of fine sand, in the evening to enjoy the sunset on the horizon.

The Pointe de Trévignon in Trégunc offers an exceptional vantage point of the entire coastline. Very popular among locals and tourists, it is the place to admire one of the most beautiful sunsets of the surroundings. The port remains lively all year round and the daily return of fishermen is an opportunity to buy freshly caught fish. The SNSM rescue station has been active there since 1906.~
With more than 160 years of scientific work, the Marine Station of Concarneau is the oldest biological station still in operation in the world. Its main activities are centered on research, expertise, teaching and knowledge transfer. Its motto: know, understand and manage the sea to better respect it.~
