The Voie Verte N°7 from Concarneau to Roscoff – 147 km – From the English Channel to the Atlantic.
Linking the English Channel to the Atlantic, the Voie Verte No. 7 starts in Concarneau town centre before crossing more than 145 km of Armorique. The stage from Concarneau to Rosporden follows the route of the old railway line before escaping through the countryside. After Rosporden and Scaër, the route ventures into the Montagnes Noires and joins the “Vélodyssée” at Carhaix, at the crossroads of Brittany, before heading north towards Roscoff.
Véloroute 45/5 – 31 km – Cycling along the coast.
This cycle route, nicely nicknamed “La Littorale”, links Concarneau town centre to Pont-Aven on small roads alternating between safe lanes and shared roads. Crossing the ferry is the first stage of this great escape. After a few kilometres of greenway offering glimpses of the granite chaos of Trégunc, “la Littorale” leads to the port and beaches of Trévignon, then through the thatched villages of Névez before reaching the city of painters (31 km).
The “Névézienne” – 27 km – Authentic viewpoints.
This cycle ride takes you all the way round Névez. It follows country lanes through the thatched villages of Kercanic and Kerascoët. The route skirts part of the coastline, offering lovely views of the Pointe de Raguénez, the Anse de Rospico and the beach at Port-Manec’h. The route along the River Aven takes in wooded roads. A stopover in Kerdruc, a small oyster-farming port, is a must, as is a visit to Le Hénan to see an authentic tide mill that has recently been renovated, the miller’s house and the chapel of Sainte-Marguerite.
